Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I am a Nursing Student, is there a discounted rate for me?

YES, all nursing students (no matter where you live and go to school) will pay one discounted price for convention registration. You will be required to upload a picture of your student ID for registration purposes, or you will be charged a NON HANA Member registration fee.

What is a Local Licensed Local Nurse and why is that a registration category?

The difference between the registration types is that a Local Licensed Nurse is a Nurse who lives in Haiti and practices nursing in Haiti. HANA would like to extend a special discounted convention registration rate to our colleagues living and working in Haiti.

In short: Local Licensed Nurse = Nursing Professional Residing in Haiti

Can I bring my family, colleague or friends?

YES! You are welcome to bring up to three guests. Please note, each guest must pay the per person fee for the specific hotel accommodation type.

Can I arrive/depart before or after the convention?

YES! You choose your arrival and departure dates. You may reserve your stay up to 2 days prior and after the HANA Convention.

How do I register my guest?

You will register yourself and then repeat that process for each of your guests. You will then pay for everyone at check out.

How does lodging work at Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort & Spa?

HANA convention attendees have the option to request a single room, double room or triple room.

Single Room – One (1) person sleeping in the room [Typically has 1 King or Full size bed]

Double Room – Two (2) people sleeping in the room [Typically has two queen beds]

Triple Room – Three (3) people sleeping in the room [Typically has two queen beds]

NOTE: The maximum number of adults per room is 3. If you would like to have 4 guests in a room, you will be required to purchase 2 rooms to accommodate your party.

Scenario #1:

I am a single parent traveling with two kids under the age of 11, what room type would I require?

  • You would be required to book a single room and pay the $65 per kid per day rate.

Scenario #2: We are a family of (4) four, and we have two kids under the age of 11, What room type would we require?

  • You would be required to book a double room and pay the $65 per kid per day rate..

Scenario #3: We are a family of (4) four, and we have one child under the age of 11 and a teenager under the age of 18, what room type is required?

  • You will be required to book a triple room and pay the $65 per kid per day rate.
Can I bring my children?

YES! Children are welcome. Infants and toddlers under the age of three (3) are FREE, children are classified between the ages of 3-13 years of age and are $65 per day per child. Each child requires a registered adult to be assigned a room.

If I live in Haiti, am I required to stay at Decameron Indigo Beach Resort & Spa?

YES! It is highly suggested that all attendees stay at the hotel. We have activities which will run until 8pm or later in the evening and we would like for you to reside on property.

Can I register for the convention and the hotel separately?

No! Our planning team will reserve your hotel room(s) on your behalf at your time of registration. Your registration fees cover your admission to the convention, your 4 night stay at Decameron Indigo Beach Resort & Spa How are the fees calculated for the hotel rooms?

Hotel room fees are calculated PER PERSON, Per DAY, Per ROOM

Ex. (There are 3 guests staying at the resort from July 11-15, 2018. The rate calculated will be per person, per night, per room.

Attendee #1 = ($) X (4 Days) X (Room #1234)

Attendee #2 = ($) X (4 Days) X (Room #1234)

Attendee #3 = ($) X (4 Days) X (Room #1234)

Total =  (Cost) X (4 Days) X (Room #1234)

Is transportation provided? from the airport and transported to Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort & Spa?

YES, roundtrip transportation from the Toussaint Louverture International Airport to the Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort for a fee of $65 per person. You will be picked up by a private bus service at a specified time in accordance to your flight arrival to Toussaint Louverture International Airport (Port-au-Prince). Buses will leave every two (2) hours to bring all attendees to the resort.
